A Note from the Editor...

Research has shown that a diet low in hydrogenated oils and saturated fat (replacing them with healthy unsaturated fats such as olive oil and omega-3 fatty acids found in fish and other healthy foods) will help you to lose weight, lower your cholesterol, and possibly ward off many other health problems such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes.

It is not necessary to cut out all fat from the diet as some might still believe, and in fact, it would be unhealthy to do so. Eating more of the good type of fats and less of the bad fats is a common denominator in most healthy and successful diets.

A low fat diet is also highly recommended for the common stomach ailments often referred to as Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS, and many other problems such as diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity and heart disease.

Cookinglow-fat.com was created to share quick and easy recipes that are not only good for you, but taste great too!  And when possible, we also included nutritional information needed for a healthy diet (meaning, a diet that is lower-in-fat than the typical American diet of hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries and general JUNK food!).

The articles and information provided on this site are the expressed opinions, research and personal experience of the contributors. As with all nutritional, fitness and dieting advice, please check with your doctor to find out which eating plan is best suited for you and your particular health issues.

A daily diet that contains no more than 30% fat intake is what we're aiming for. In other words, skip the French fries and get healthy!

Blessings of Good Health!
