Heavenly Strawberry Cake
by CookingLow-Fat.comThis beautiful low-fat layered cake is perfect for parties and entertaining. Frost with Cool Whip as directed or substitute with a light dusting of powdered sugar.
Ingredients:
1 10-inch angel food cake
2 c. strawberries, crushed
1 T. milk
2 c. strawberries, sliced
1 12-ounce container Cool Whip® Lite
(additional strawberry slices and mint leaves for decoration if desired)
Directions:
* Slice angel food cake into three layers and place first layer onto serving plate.
* In a large bowl, add crushed strawberries and the 1 T. of milk into 1 1/2 c. of Cool Whip.®
* Spread half of the mixture on top of first cake layer, then half of the sliced strawberries on top of that.
* Repeat layers, ending with the third layer of cake on top. Frost with remaining Cool Whip® and garnish with strawberry slices and mint leaves if desired.
